Short version: Drillers is a free app for organizing recreational pickleball and tennis sessions. Use it respectfully. Don't use it to harm others. We provide the service as-is for recreational use. Please read these terms before using the service.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Drillers at getdrillers.com or beta.getdrillers.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

By signing in with a Google account, you also confirm that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and handle your data.

2. Description of service

Drillers is a web application designed to help groups organize, schedule, and track doubles pickleball and tennis sessions. The Service includes:

The Service is provided free of charge and contains no advertising. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

3. Accounts and registration

Sign-in is handled through Google OAuth ("Sign in with Google"). By signing in, you authorize us to receive your Google display name, email address, and profile photo to create and maintain your Drillers profile.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

You may not create an account for the purpose of impersonating another person or entity.

4. Guest use

You may access certain features of the Service without signing in, such as viewing a session using a shared room key. As a guest:

5. User-generated content

5.1 What you own

You retain ownership of any content you create or submit through the Service, including chat messages, player names, and session data ("User Content").

5.2 License you grant us

By submitting User Content, you grant Drillers a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, display, and transmit that content solely as necessary to operate and provide the Service. This license ends when you delete the content or when your account is deleted, except where content has been shared with and seen by other users.

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You agree not to submit content that:

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to users or the Service. Session hosts may also delete chat messages and activity records within their own sessions.

7. Session sharing and invitations

The Service allows you to share session room keys and magic-link invitations with other people. By sharing a room key or invitation link:

Calendar invite features (Google Calendar and iCal export) are generated locally in your browser and submitted directly to the respective calendar service. We do not send calendar invitations on your behalf or store your calendar credentials.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on Google Firebase for authentication, data storage, and hosting. Your use of the Service is also subject to Google's Terms of Service (policies.google.com/terms). We are not responsible for the practices of Google or any other third-party service.

Links within the Service to external websites (e.g., DUPR profile pages) are provided for convenience only. We have no control over the content or privacy practices of those sites.

10. Intellectual property

The Drillers name, logo, and all app code, design, and documentation are the property of the Drillers project and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without express written permission, except as permitted by law.

Rating systems (DLR and DTR) and scheduling algorithms built into the Service are proprietary. The DUPR rating system is a third-party product owned by DUPR LLC; Drillers' DUPR delta projections are approximations and are not official DUPR calculations.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

Drillers is a recreational tool. Ratings, statistics, and leaderboard positions are for fun and should not be relied upon for any official competitive or professional purposes.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DRILLERS AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM:

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Drillers and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account and data, follow the process described in our Privacy Policy, Section 7.

Upon termination, Sections 5 (User Content), 10 (Intellectual Property), 11 (Disclaimer), 12 (Limitation of Liability), 13 (Indemnification), and 15 (Governing Law) survive.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, both parties agree to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted individually (no class actions), except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for matters involving intellectual property or unauthorized access.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also have the right to submit a complaint to your local data protection authority or use the EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users (e.g., via a notice in the app). We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
